Testing in the South West

If you’re going to attend one of our events in the South West, here’s some STI clinics and providers who’s proof we will accept

Free/NHS services & kits

  • Unity Bristol & Weston NHS
    • Home test kits (link here). FREE but only sent out to folks from ‘Bristol, North Somerset or South Gloucestershire.
      Note: We’ve had reports the tests from Unity can take a week to arrive, and 10 days to process, so we advise that if you’re getting a home kit from them in advance of coming to one of our events, bear this in mind so you can time sending it back in.

  • Frisky Wales
    • FREE Home test kit pilot (link here)
  • FreeTest.me
    • Offer *some* free home test kits, depending on your area. (link here). All you can do is pop your postcode in and see if they cover your area. If not, you’ll likely get pointed towards the commercial test.me service listed below (which is very cost-effective anyway!). Service run by Preventex 
  • SH:UK
    • Essentially the same service as above. (link here). Service run by Preventex 

Commercial/Private services & kits

  • Test.me
    • Home test kits (link here). Basic test £26, Full test £45
  • Lloyds Pharmacy
    • Home test kits (link here). Basic test £28, Full test £60
  • Boots Online
    • Home test kits (link here). Tests from £45. Separate HIV tests extra, which is disappointing and makes this a more expensive option. Nevertheless, a good service and quick turnaround as you’d expect from Boots.
  • Randox Health
    • Very comprehensive private home test kits (link here). £95 but offers 10 STI tests. very comprehensive.
  • SuperDrug
    • Wide variety of home test kits (link here). Similar to Boots, in that basic Chlamydia & Ghonnoreah tests are £42, with the HIV test and additional £39.
